Is Raycast available in my country?

Raycast is available globally with the following exceptions: Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

Hmm; wonder why.

In this guide, we will develop a Raycast plugin that allows us to create a note that will be published not only on our page, but also syndicated to Mastodon and/or Bluesky.

Am Mac verwende ich aktuell #raycast und GPT-4.1 mini um mir eine Bildbeschreibung zu meinen Fotos erstellen zu lassen. Das klappt gar nicht mal so schlecht. Jetzt habe ich mal wieder #ollama angeworfen. Mit Qwen3 oder Gemma 3 geht es schon, aber kommt noch nicht an GPT-4.1 mini ran.

Welches Modell würde sich denn für eine solche Aufgabe anbieten? Danke!

@raycast is one of my all-time favorite MacOS apps. So wildly useful, so extensible, great details and all kinds of buttery goodness.

Now it's on iOS, and I think their v1 knocked it out of the park. Nice addition is that if you pay the $20 to use their AI features (which are VERY handy), that sub carries over to the mobile app.

Alfred's DIY process is much nicer than #Raycast's "wait for review", for sure. Especially since you can just push a new version to your server w/o having to go through another review by the Raycast people.

Also I had to learn that as a non-dev user, you can't easily sideload Raycast extensions? Gatekeeping much?

i used to use #Petey a lot but not much anymore. #MyNinja is where i've been using reasoning models in combination with other tasks, otherwise openwebui and LMStudio aimed at ollama servers and OpenAI's API and LMStudio is also a provider of some models i'm trying out or fiddling with before promoting them.

Dang it! @raycast is stopping support for MacOS 12 (Monterey)

I understand it's an older OS version and can be a little less valuable to extend support for. But it is sad.

Nothing new for me, though. My OS stopped receiving updates last April

Really loving #Raycast Pro so far! I've built a custom extension that I can now use for some volunteer work in youth programs, where I use REST APIs to manage some attendee data. I could have created this without its AI chat feature, but it was fantastic to get the 90% solution up and running!

I've just installed the #Mastodon extension on #Raycast and now I can post directly, without opening the app.
This is sooo good! Plus the post action is labelled 'Toot'. This made me smile

I love Raycast and I love the new Notes feature. A shame it’s limited on the free version, but the implementation is great.
