#Longlegs gesehen - naja. Eigentlich kein schlechter Film, aber doesn't quite live up to the hype (meine Studierenden waren ex-ci-ted, dass ich gehe und begeistert vom Film). Außerdem ist der Verdacht, er sei ein bisschen trans- und queer-feindlich, wohl nicht ganz von der Hand zu weisen. Gut: Das Horrorpotential von 70er bis 90er kleinbürgerlicher Inneneinrichtung wurde voll genutzt.

I watched #longlegs the recent horror movie that has been receiving a lot of positive reviews. I don't get it.

*why* is this film good?

I've been an avid horror enthusiast since I was a kid and I've seen every single technique, every single trope, pulled off with more mastery in a number of other movies.

Longlegs really isn't doing anything particularly well, not anything particularly new.

It's like the reviewers have watched another movie altogether.

War in #Longlegs und bin in den Film als Thriller gegangen. Horror mag ich nicht, ist der Film auch nicht wirklich.

Als Thriller ist der eigentliche nicht schlecht, das Ende fand ich dann aber doch relativ schwach. Sehr schade eigentlich. Hätte man diese Übernatürlichkeit ein bisschen weiter runtergeschraubt, wäre der als guter Thriller durchgegangen.

Würde ich im Streaming empfehlen, für (reine) Horrorfans aber wahrscheinlich eher nichts...
