Why is #TrackerControl complaining if I'm using #PrivateDNS ?
Shouldn't it work with that thing on as well?
@davep @Anomnomnomaly @TheBreadmonkey just like many other (I use #TrackerControl, mentoined elsewhere), it creates a pseudo VPN, so all apps, HTTP/S or not, are impacted.
@GambaJo
Ich nutze #TrackerControl und bin ganz zufrieden damit.
@jwildeboer these should be picked up by #exodus #exodusprivacy and hopefully #TrackerControl, even if it's not their primary target.
@Linux_Is_Best sorry, ads 8n WhatsApp? I have never seen one. Is it #TrackerControl, that I live in Europe or something else?
Jesus Christ. Something has happened so that #TrackerControl is getting turned off all the time, for seemingly no reason. I hate it so much, I feel insecure. Does anyone know what this could be, and how to fix it? I recently installed Snapchat, could that be it?
A bit more complete. I want to contribute to:

So if I understand it correctly #TrackerControl rather delivers high-level information, but I cannot actively intervene any tracking processes?
I realize that blocking trackers with #NetGuard can be cumbersome, especially when there's only IP-adresses in the logs - but at least I can block some of the unwanted traffic...
@Andreas_Sturm
@IzzyOnDroid
Thanks for sharing this!
Just for my understanding as a non-expert user: Is there a benefit for me using #TrackerControl on an #Android without #root access in comparison to using e.g. #NetGuard?
@StartpageSearch #DuckDuckGo and @simplelogin Email aliases are crazy powerfull
@protonmail the *new* Forward import from Gmail is so good, you can make your contacts switch to your new address with out them even noticing ;D
Any DNS based tracker blocking including #TrackerControl, #DuckDuckGo #NextDNS or PiHole
And just to spite Reddit Infinity for reddit
Also I just heard a talk about VoIP numbers and MySudo (basically phone number aliases and more) but didn't have time to look in to it yet.
Trackercontrol for iOS
„This service analyses iOS applications in order to list the embedded trackers and permissions. A tracker is a piece of software that collects data about you or your app usage behaviour.
This project was motivated by Exodus Privacy…“

Thanks for your great work @kasnder
Have you got an #Android phone that cannot be degoogled? You can use one of these apps to block ads and trackers.
#AdAway https://adaway.org/
#Blokada https://blokada.org/
#DNS66 https://github.com/julian-klode/dns66
#TrackerControl https://github.com/OxfordHCC/tracker-control-android
All of these apps are available via #FDroid. Apps can be checked for tracking libraries via #ExodusPrivacy: https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/
