Within the depths of Hell lies a particular dungeon where an unholy mockery of the Holy Trinity tortures screaming and bleeding souls with their tridents and torture devices. One soul, however, moves about from dungeon end to dungeon end absolutely glowing with the radiance of Heaven, endlessly singing the praises of the Almighty God. Through contact with this pure soul, even a mortal can kill a demon and liberate Hell like Christ did with a single touch.

This is about the Intellivision game "Thunder Castle."

@thevglibrary So many!

  • Star Strike - the faux 3D perspective was awesome for its time!Advanced Dungeons & Dragons - great sound effects and surprisingly good given the available tech
  • Triple Action - S-U-P-E-R simple game but my family and I played many hours of the silly biplane fighter combat!
  • Frog Bog - I know, I know, supposedly a kid's game, but there was something about the novelty of the setting and mechanic I still love to this day!
  • Tron Deadly Discs - Played so many hours of this. Got REALLY good at taking out the recognizer which you had to hit pixel perfect in its little 'eye' when it was exposed :)

Five different versions of Imagic's "Demon Attack" (1982) playing on original hardware.

INTV has hands-down the best gameplay content. It's a toss-up between A26 and VIC as to which is the prettiest. The A8 version is - disappointingly - barely distinguishable from the A26.

The later C64 version is pretty poor. It's missing nearly all of the visual charm of earlier versions, especially the VIC one.
